General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

OVERVIEW

This website is operated by Dance Travels, a brand of Brandix AG, Grammetstrasse 14, 4410 Liestal, Switzerland (UID: CHE-279.917.661). Throughout the website, the terms "we", "us", and "our" refer to Dance Travels. By accessing our website and/or making a purchase in our online shop, you agree to the following general terms and conditions. These apply to all users and buyers.

Our shop is hosted by Shopify Inc. Shopify provides the e-commerce platform through which we sell our services.

1. Scope and Subject Matter of the Contract

These terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between Dance Travels (Brandix AG) and the customers who purchase services – in particular dance trips – through our Shopify shop. Deviating conditions are not recognized unless we expressly agree to them in writing.

2. Contract conclusion and payment

The presentation of services on the website does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an invitation to order. A binding contract is concluded upon completion of the purchase process.

The payment is due immediately. Accepted payment methods:

  • Shopify Payments (incl. credit cards)
  • PayPal
  • TWINT

3. Cancellation, Transfer, and Fees

Cancellation by the customer

A cancellation is possible at any time, subject to the following fee schedule:

Within 7 days after booking (only if more than 60 days remain until the start of the trip) 10% processing fee
Up to 90 days before the start of the trip 20 %
89–60 days before the start of the trip 40 %
59–30 days before the start of the trip 60 %
Less than 30 days before the start of the trip 100% (no refund)

 

The cancellation must be made in writing by email to info@brandix.ch occur. The decisive factor for the calculation is the date the message is received. Refunds are made according to the above-mentioned regulation within 14 days to the originally used payment method.

Transfer of participation to another person

A transfer to a replacement person is possible up to 30 days before the start of the trip, provided that:

  • we explicitly and in writing agree to the transfer, and
  • all necessary information about the acquiring person is available (name, email, phone number, etc.)

Ideally, both parties will contact us directly. No rebooking fee will be charged.

4. Travel Insurance

Participants are responsible for taking out travel insurance (including cancellation and overseas health coverage) themselves. We accept no liability for lack of insurance coverage.

5. Minimum number of participants and cancellation

For each trip, there is a minimum number of participants, which varies depending on the offer. If this number is not reached by the specified deadline, we reserve the right to cancel the trip.

In this case, we offer the following options:

  • Rebooking to an alternative trip
  • Issuance of a credit for a later booking
  • Refund of the paid amount (within 14 days via the original payment method)

6. Changes & Force Majeure

We plan our trips carefully and thoroughly. Nevertheless, unforeseen changes can occur, e.g.:

  • Hotel or infrastructure problems (e.g., due to natural events)
  • Illness or absence of dance instructors
  • political unrest, pandemics, or official orders

In such cases, we provide equivalent replacement. A refund is made only if the entire trip is canceled.

Force Majeure: Dance Travels is not liable for delays or non-fulfillment due to force majeure such as natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, war, riots, or governmental restrictions.

7. Health and Personal Responsibility

Participation in our events is at your own risk. We assume a healthy condition. In case of health problems, please inform us – we will support you if possible, but do not assume any liability for health incidents during the trip.

Accidents or injuries caused by one's own behavior, negligence, or disregard of instructions are also subject to personal responsibility.

8. Behavior during the trip

Participants commit to respectful interaction. Dance Travels reserves the right to exclude persons from the event if they severely disrupt the proceedings or other participants. In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund.

9. Image and Video Material

During the trips, photos and videos are taken, which are used for marketing purposes (e.g., website, social media, advertising).

By participating, the customer consents to the use of the material. This consent can be revoked at any time for the future. The revocation must be sent by email to info@brandix.ch. We take individual wishes into account (e.g., anonymization) if they are communicated in a timely manner.

10. Disclaimer

Dance Travels is only liable for damages caused by gross negligence or intent. Any further liability – especially for lost holiday enjoyment, consequential damages, or other indirect damages – is excluded, as far as legally permissible.

11. Jurisdiction and applicable law

Only Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is 4410 Liestal, Basel-Landschaft.

12. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions can be changed at any time. The version valid at the time of booking is decisive. Changes will be published on our website.
